According to police sources, the case was filed under Sections 356(2), 353(B), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These sections pertain to assault or criminal force against public servants and acts intended to provoke breach of peace.

Speaking to the media, Prabhakar Reddy said, “Freedom of speech doesn’t give anyone the right to make baseless and offensive statements about a democratically elected Chief Minister. We will not tolerate personal attacks on our leader.”

BRS Yet to Respond

As of now, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has not issued an official statement regarding the FIR. However, sources within the party suggest that Kaushik Reddy may defend his comments as political criticism taken out of context.

Tensions Escalate Ahead of Elections

The incident comes at a time when political tensions are already high in Telangana, with the state gearing up for key electoral battles. Observers note that such verbal duels between rival parties are likely to intensify in the coming weeks.
