The EC, which de-recognised 354 parties in the first list, released the second list on Monday, state/union territory wise. It said that 17 parties in AP and 9 in Telangana are included in this list.

The EC said that steps have been taken to identify and remove from the list registered unregistered political parties (RUPPs) that have failed to fulfil the key condition of contesting at least one election in the six years since 2019. The EC said that these steps are being taken as part of a comprehensive strategy to make the electoral system clean.
