Caste certificate update | Hyderabad, Oct 13: Minister Sridhar Babu has announced a significant update on SC caste certificates after the recent sub-caste classification in Telangana.

On Monday, he stated that all Meeseva Kendras across the state have been upgraded to issue caste certificates based on the new sub-categorized Schedule Caste groups.

This means citizens can now easily obtain their correct category certificates directly from Meeseva centers.

The minister explained that this change follows the directives under Telangana Act No. 15-2025 and G.O.M.S. No. 9 released by the Schedule Castes Department on 14-14-2025.

According to him, around four lakh citizens in Telangana are set to benefit from this measure. The move is intended to simplify access and enhance the accurate distribution of caste certificates in line with law.

Minister Sridhar Babu called this a key step forward for efficient and transparent implementation of reservations.

The upgrade is expected to remove potential confusion about sub-categories and speed up the process for all applicants. He underscored the administration’s goal to make social justice initiatives more accessible and reliable for citizens.

He also shared that Meeseva Kendras now provide the option to reprint SC, ST, and BC caste certificates.

The reprinted document will carry the name and date details of the approving officer. This change is designed to add a layer of accountability and ease for individuals who need new or duplicate certificates.

The government anticipates that these reforms will make the reservation system easier for families and authorities alike.

Overall, the seamless rollout of the new certificates at Meeseva Kendras demonstrates the state’s commitment to social equity.
