Hyderabad, Oct 17: State Director General of Police Shivadhara Reddy has urged organizers to conduct tomorrow’s BC Bandh peacefully.
The senior police official issued clear instructions that any unlawful activities or undesirable incidents during the bandh will face strict action from law enforcement agencies.
The DGP emphasized that police teams and surveillance units will monitor the situation continuously throughout the bandh period.
He specifically warned against creating any inconvenience for the general public during the protest.
“We will ensure that common people do not face any problems,” Reddy stated while addressing the media regarding security arrangements.
Meanwhile, the Telangana BC JAC (Joint Action Committee) has called for a statewide bandh on October 18th to demand BC reservations.
The organization announced this protest as part of their ongoing struggle for justice regarding backward class reservation issues in the state.
Political parties across the spectrum have extended their complete support to the “Bandh for Justice” initiative.
However, DGP Shivadhara Reddy stressed that supporters should act responsibly and avoid causing hardship to ordinary citizens.
The police chief made it clear that maintaining law and order remains the top priority during the protest.
Therefore, authorities have deployed additional security measures to ensure the bandh proceeds without violence.
The BC JAC has appealed to people to make this bandh successful while maintaining peace.
Also, the police department has prepared contingency plans to handle any emergency situations that may arise during the protest day.
