Asaduddin Owaisi Urges Centre To Rescue Four Indians Stranded In Russia
Hyderabad: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday appealed to the BJP-led Central government to take immediate steps to rescue four Indians stranded in Russia, who are reportedly being forced to participate in the ongoing war against their will.
Among them is Mohammed Ahmed, a resident of Hyderabad, who was injured while serving on the frontlines. In videos shared online, Ahmed pleaded with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to ensure his safe return to India. According to Owaisi, the Foreign Secretary’s office has assured that efforts are underway to bring all four individuals back safely.
Ahmed’s family members, who met Owaisi, said that along with Ahmed, Manoj Kumar, Sumit Kumar, and Anup Kumar are also stranded in Russia. Of these, two hail from Haryana and one from Rajasthan. “They were duped into signing contracts under the false pretext of being offered regular jobs,” Owaisi said, urging the government to act swiftly and investigate those responsible for the deception.
Owaisi also criticised political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, saying, “Several members of the Abdullah family have held the Chief Minister’s post in the past, yet none repealed the Public Safety Act (PSA), a law that has caused immense suffering and human rights violations. Over 20,000 people have been detained without fair trials since 1978. Sab kuch luta ke hosh mein aaye to kya kiya, din mein agar chiragh jalaye to kya kiya,” he remarked.
