A severe road accident took place in Karnataka on Tuesday, leaving three residents of Telangana dead on the spot. The fatal crash occurred in Hallikhed when a van and a car collided. According to reports, the victims were returning after visiting the Ganagapur Dattatreya temple. Police confirmed that two others sustained serious injuries in the accident.
The deceased were identified as Naveen (40), Rachappa (45), and Kashinath (60), all belonging to Jagannathpur village in Narayankhed mandal of Telangana’s Sangareddy district. They were reportedly traveling in a car when the van crashed into it, leading to instant fatalities. The police explained that the collision was so severe that the car was completely damaged. The accident highlights yet another case of rising road mishaps across the region.
In recent weeks, cases of fatal accidents have been growing due to speeding, rash driving, and lack of strict penalties. “Road accidents are increasing in recent times. Accidents are increasing due to high speed, negligence, and lack of proper punishment for these,” the report stated. This tragic incident once again brings the issue of road safety to the forefront, as families continue to lose loved ones on highways.
The Hallikhed accident involving Telangana residents has caused deep sorrow in Narayankhed. Locals expressed grief and demanded stronger action from authorities to improve road safety and enforce traffic rules.
