Poet Andeshri Laid to Rest with State Honours in Hyderabad

Poet Andeshri | Hyderabad, Nov 11 (Maxim News) : Renowned poet and writer Andeshri was laid to rest with full state honours at NFC Nagar in Ghatkesar on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with Ministers Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Adluri Laxman, and Jupally Krishna Rao, attended the final rites.

Revanth Reddy and Adluri Laxman has given given shoulder to poet body during the funeral.

Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, literary admirers, and thousands of Andeshri’s followers were also present to pay their respects.

Before the cremation, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy paid floral tributes and personally carried the poet’s bier.

CM Revanth comforted the grieving family members and consoled them with affection.

All attendees observed two minutes of silence, followed by a ceremonial gun salute by the police as a mark of honour. The poet’s mortal remains were then laid to rest with solemnity.

Earlier in the day, senior leader Keshava Rao, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Seethakka, and other Congress leaders also paid their respects at Andeshri’s residence.

The funeral procession began from Lalapet and passed through Tarnaka and Uppal before reaching NFC Nagar, where the final rites concluded. (Maxim News)
