The government started the process to give the new sarees to women across the state.

The first phase began on November nineteen and will run till December nine. The move replaced the Bathukamma sarees earlier given by the BRS government. Women in many districts now share reels and photos while wearing the new sarees. These posts pushed the trend across major platforms. Women from several constituencies posted clips in bright colours. Some wives of MLAs also wore the Indiramma sarees.

Their photos went viral soon. These posts sparked a sharp online fight between Congress and BRS. Both sides now link the sarees to their claims on welfare. This online trend raised the heat in local body polls.

One group of women made a reel that explained schemes launched by the Revanth Reddy government. They listed free bus travel for women. They spoke about free power up to two hundred units.

They mentioned the Indiramma housing plan. They noted the loan waiver for farmers. They added interest free loans for women groups. They also spoke about fine rice for ration card holders.

That reel moved across social media and reached many users. Other women made reels with trending songs. These clips also spread fast.

Congress leaders said loan waiver worth more than twenty thousand crore did not get this level of reach. They said the Indiramma Saree Distribution created strong traction. They claimed that this wave helped the party mood. They added that the online vibe helped build support during local polls.

BRS leaders attacked the government over the move. They said the state launched the saree drive only to win votes in local bodies.

Harish Rao said the government promised two sarees but gave only one. He said the Congress had not fulfilled the Mahalakshmi promise of two thousand five hundred rupees every month.

He added that the state avoided giving sarees and loans in towns due to tough ground tests.

Political groups now debate the impact on the sarpanch polls.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy asked women to wear the Indiramma sarees on polling day. Congress leaders expect a push in rural seats. Opposition groups said women will not vote based only on sarees.

They said voters will weigh the full record. The final result will show the impact. The people of the state will reveal their choice on December seventeen. (Maxim News)
