More than 50 representatives from various jewellery and electronics establishments attended the meeting, alongside ACPs and SHOs from the North Zone.

Focus on Security Compliance and Crime Prevention

The meeting aimed to ensure that all high-value establishments operate strictly in line with statutory regulations, mandated security protocols, and provisions under the Telangana State Public Safety Act and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

Officials sensitised owners and managers about the importance of implementing robust security systems to prevent criminal targeting, particularly theft, burglary, and chain-snatching-related offences. Jewellery store owners were cautioned against purchasing ornaments from unknown or unverified individuals. Police highlighted that offenders often attempt to sell stolen jewellery to shops, and warned that strict legal action would be taken against any establishment found dealing—knowingly or unknowingly—in stolen property.
