Danam Nagender Resignation Remarks Trigger Political Interest
Hyderabad, Dec. 5 (Maxim News): MLA Danam Nagender made fresh remarks on his possible resignation while responding to developments linked to complaints on alleged party defections.
He said he was ready to resign immediately if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued instructions. He added that contesting and fighting elections was not new to him.
Nagender recently sought more time from Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to respond to the petitions filed against him. He stated that he had contested eleven elections so far and remained prepared for any political challenge. Danam further said that arguments in the disqualification case against several MLAs were continuing in the Supreme Court.
Nagender noted that the final outcome would guide the next steps for all concerned. The MLA said that development in the state would be possible only if Revanth Reddy continued as Chief Minister for the next decade.
Danam Nagender claimed that long-term leadership would help ensure stability. His statement drew interest as the political climate remained active. Observers said that the comments could influence ongoing discussions around disqualification matters.
Nagender maintained that he would follow party directions without hesitation. He said that discipline remained important in public life. Danam added that he would respect the Speaker’s process in the petitions filed against him. He also said that legal proceedings would shape the timeline for final decisions.
The issue gained attention after complaints were filed alleging defection. The petitions sought a ruling from the Speaker under the anti-defection law.
The Speaker earlier asked the MLA to present his explanation. Nagender then requested more time to submit a detailed response. The High Court and Supreme Court also heard related matters during recent sessions.
With the political situation evolving, the statements made by Nagender may hold significance in the coming days. Party leaders are expected to monitor the legal and procedural developments before taking further steps. (Maxim News)
