A petition challenging the GHMC divisions increase has been filed before the High Court, seeking urgent judicial intervention. Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy took up the petition for hearing. During the proceedings, the petitioner raised concerns about the process followed by the authorities while carrying out the re division of GHMC divisions. He submitted that the government did not consider objections raised during the exercise. Therefore, he sought the court’s intervention in the matter.

Vinay Kumar told the court that objections submitted by him were ignored during the GHMC divisions increase. He stated that the re division process failed to address specific concerns related to the Ramnagar division. According to the petitioner, this omission affected the fairness of the process. He therefore urged the High Court to issue directions to consider his objections regarding the Ramnagar division.

Meanwhile, the court heard the submissions placed on record. Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy examined the request for urgent relief. However, after initial consideration, the court did not pass immediate orders on the merits of the petition. Instead, the court decided to defer further hearing.

Later, the High Court adjourned the hearing on the petition till tomorrow. The adjournment allows time for further examination of the issues raised in connection with the GHMC divisions increase. The matter is expected to come up again before the court as scheduled.
