Telangana is heading towards a recession within two years, BRS Working President KTR warned on Wednesday while addressing party leaders and workers. He made these remarks after unveiling the Bharat Rashtra Samithi New Year’s Diary at Telangana Bhavan. KTR said the state has moved towards regression over the last two years instead of development. He added that the situation before the formation of Telangana is slowly returning. According to him, the hardship that existed before KCR became Chief Minister is visible again. He pointed to the struggles of farmers across the state. Even during the festive season, farmers are standing in long lines for urea. Therefore, he said the painful scenes of people waiting for hours and even days in cold weather have returned under Congress rule.

Meanwhile, KTR recalled the Telangana movement and the 14 year struggle led by KCR against the Centre and unionists. He said the ten years of development and welfare under KCR after state formation created a lasting mark in history. He stressed that no one can erase that progress. He also praised BRS activists and leaders for continuing their struggle against what he called Congress mismanagement over the last two years.

KTR said the real strength of BRS lies in its workers. He said workers proudly declare, “This is my flag,” and plant it firmly in the ground. He congratulated workers who led protests from panchayat elections to state wide struggles. These included protests against attacks on tribals in Lagacharla, farmers being cheated in the name of loan waiver, delay of Rythu Bandhu, and the “Six Guarantees – 420 Guarantees.” He also remembered those who raised voices over issues in the Musi river basin and land encroachment at Hyderabad Central University.

Later, KTR said victories and defeats are temporary. He said KCR and the pink flag hold a permanent place in people’s hearts. He added that for BRS, politics is a duty linked to public welfare. While acknowledging attacks from the Centre and the state, he said BRS cannot be suppressed. Finally, he said the party’s goal is to see KCR as Chief Minister again in 2028.
