Sajjanar Condemns Child Poisoning Deaths

Sajjanar | Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar expressed deep anguish over recent incidents in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh where parents poisoned their children before dying by suicide.

Reacting on X on Friday, Sajjanar referred to a tragic case from Kalwakurthy in Nagarkurnool district, where a mother and her daughter died after consuming poisoned food.

Meanwhile, her son remains in critical condition. In another incident in Andhra Pradesh, a father allegedly poisoned his three children before ending his own life.

Sajjanar Urges Parents to Seek Help, Not End Lives

Sajjanar said parents, who should protect and nurture their children, turning perpetrators was deeply disturbing.

Hyderabad CP sajjanar stated that hands meant to feed children had mixed poison, and arms meant to comfort had taken away breath. Moreover, he questioned who innocent children could turn to when their own parents failed them.

CP stressed that hardships, however severe, must be faced and not escaped through suicide. According to him, ending one’s life is not a solution but a betrayal of those dependent on the individual. He further said that harming children in moments of despair was an unforgivable crime.

The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner urged people to pause during moments of emotional distress and seek support.

Sajjanar appealed to citizens to value life and fight adversity with courage. Sajjanar concluded by stating that choosing to live and struggle was true strength, while giving up was not.
