The board issued show-cause notices to over 200 colleges. These institutions charged excess fees. Some manipulated student admissions. The TSBIE aims to enforce uniform guidelines. It follows complaints from parents and students.

Vocational courses allow up to Rs 15,000. TSBIE Director Govind Reddy confirmed the drive. He urged colleges to comply strictly.

The board plans stricter monitoring. It will blacklist repeat offenders. Students benefit from regulated admissions now.

The board clarified that there are currently 3,374 junior colleges with permits in the state and that no unrecognized colleges are running. It warned that strict action will be taken against those who violate
