Speaking in the House, Seethakka said the government is providing interest free loans to members of self help groups. These loans are meant to help with the management and investment needs of the Indiramma Canteens. She explained that the model is designed to ensure smooth operations while also creating income opportunities for women involved in the programme.

Meanwhile, the minister said special training was given to self help group members before they took charge of the canteens. According to her statement, the members underwent a 10 day training programme in Hyderabad. The training focused on preparing them for day to day operations and financial management. She added that this preparation played an important role in running the canteens effectively.

She also informed the Assembly that 130 Indiramma Canteens have been set up in urban areas. These canteens are part of the broader effort to expand affordable food options while supporting women led groups. Therefore, the urban rollout forms a major share of the total number of canteens established so far in the state.

Later, Seethakka linked the Indiramma Canteens programme to the larger vision of the state leadership. She said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy aims to make one crore women millionaires. According to her, the canteens, along with financial support and training, contribute to this long term goal. The minister’s statement highlighted how welfare schemes and economic plans are being aligned.
