- Prime Minister’s three day Gujarat schedule includes Somnath, Rajkot and Ahmedabad

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat from January 10 to January 12, 2026. The three day schedule includes religious events, public programmes, infrastructure launches, and international engagements. The visit will cover Somnath, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar.
On January 10, the Prime Minister will arrive in Somnath in the evening. At around 8 PM, he will participate in Omkar Mantra chanting. Later, he will view a drone show at the Somnath temple. These events mark the beginning of the PM to visit Gujarat programme and focus on spiritual and cultural activities.
PM Modi to visit Gujarat with focus on Somnath heritage and public events
On January 11, at around 9:45 AM, the Prime Minister will take part in the Shaurya Yatra. The ceremonial procession honours warriors who laid down their lives defending the Somnath Temple. After that, at around 10:15 AM, he will perform Darshan and Pooja at the Somnath Temple. Then, at around 11 AM, he will attend a public function marking Somnath Swabhiman Parv.
Later the same day, the Prime Minister will travel to Rajkot. There, he will participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra Region. At around 1:30 PM, he will inaugurate the trade show and exhibition at the conference. Then, at around 2 PM, he will inaugurate the regional conference at Marwadi University, Rajkot. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.
From Rajkot, the Prime Minister will proceed to Ahmedabad. At around 5:15 PM, at the Mahatma Mandir metro station, he will inaugurate the remaining stretch of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad metro. This stretch runs from Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir. The event forms a key part of the PM to visit Gujarat schedule and highlights urban transport development.
On January 12, the Prime Minister will meet the Federal Chancellor of Germany, H.E. Mr. Friedrich Merz, in Ahmedabad. At around 9:30 AM, both leaders will visit the Sabarmati Ashram. Later, at around 10 AM, they will attend the International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront.
Following this, bilateral engagements will begin from 11:15 AM onwards at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. The Prime Minister and the German Chancellor will review progress in the India Germany Strategic Partnership, which has recently completed 25 years.
