Massive Theft At Kasibugga Venkateswara Swamy Temple
Srikakulam/Hyderabad, Jan 12 (Maxim News): A major theft took place at the Venkateswara Swamy temple in Kasibugga, Srikakulam district. It was found on Monday that unknown persons had entered the temple from the back gate and stolen gold and silver ornaments.
The temple trustee Mukundapanda informed the Kashibugga police about this. He said that ornaments worth about Rs. 60 lakhs were stolen Kashibugga DSP Sheikh Sahabaz Ahmed and CI Ramakrishna inspected the scene.
It is known that 9 devotees died in a stampede at this temple on November 1. Following the stampede, darshan was stopped at the temple on the orders of the police. Currently, development work is going on there. (Maxim News)
