Nirmala Sitharaman Presents Economic Survey! GDP Growth Rate At 7.2%

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 29 (Maxim news): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently tabled the Economic Survey-2026 in Parliament. The Economic Survey estimates that India’s GDP will grow by 6.8 to 7.2 percent in 2026-27.

Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who introduced the Economic Survey, which will serve as a compass for the country’s economic progress, in the Lok Sabha. It is known that the Economic Survey will mention key issues such as the progress achieved by India in the last financial year, the challenges faced, and the steps to be taken in the future (Economic Survey 2026).

The Economic Survey has estimated that India’s real GDP is likely to grow by 6.8 percent to 7.2 percent in the financial year 2026-27. The Economic Survey has concluded that India’s economic growth is not in danger due to stable domestic demand and positive macroeconomic factors. According to this survey, the situation in the global economy remains somewhat worrying. The prevalence of negative factors continues. As a result, global economic growth will continue at a moderate level. Overall, commodity prices are likely to remain stable this year.

If the expected economic benefits of artificial intelligence are not achieved, asset values may decline, increasing pressure on the economy. The Economic Survey also predicts that the current situation is stable and that the situation is likely to worsen in the coming days.

The Economic Survey concluded that the Indian economy has been able to cope with the burden of US tariffs. Although GDP growth expectations have declined after the imposition of tariffs, the reality is different.
