A fire accident in Attapur forced the evacuation of nearly 90 families after a blaze broke out at a car service centre during the early hours of Tuesday, February 10. The incident caused panic in the area. Three vehicles were completely gutted in the fire. Authorities evacuated nearby residents as a safety measure while firefighters worked to control the flames.

According to the information available, fire department personnel rushed to the spot soon after receiving an alert. They deployed two fire tenders to tackle the fire. The teams brought the blaze under control within an hour. Meanwhile, firefighters focused on stopping the flames from spreading to nearby buildings. As a result, officials avoided further damage in the residential area around the service centre.

As a precaution, officials evacuated families living close to the affected site. Nearly 90 families moved out of their homes temporarily to ensure their safety. Later, authorities monitored the area to check for any risk of the fire reigniting. The evacuation remained a key step in preventing injuries or loss of life during the fire accident in Attapur.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed. However, an electrical short circuit is suspected. The Rajendranagar police stated that the fire started in scrap dumped at the backside of the service centre. Therefore, officials are treating the incident with caution until the investigation is complete. Fire department officials and police teams are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace how the fire began.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad has recently witnessed two major fire incidents. One such incident occurred in a building near Nampally Railway Station. That fire accident resulted in the death of five individuals. Rescue workers retrieved five bodies from the rubble of a furniture store located in the building. It is alleged that the store owner was using the basement illegally to store furniture. Officials suspect that a short circuit or a cigarette may have triggered that fire.

Another fire accident was reported at the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory in Hyderabad on Saturday, February 7. In that case, five fire tenders and one firefighting robot were pressed into service. Based on a preliminary investigation, a fire department official said they suspected an electrical short circuit caused the fire. These incidents have raised concerns about fire safety across the city.
