- Intermediate Exams to Have Wall Clocks in Every Hall
- TGBIE Directs Dual Desks, CCTV at Exam Centres
Hyderabad: Intermediate exams will be conducted with new facilities this year after TGBIE ordered wall clocks and dual desks in all centres. The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education issued clear directions ahead of the intermediate public exams commencing February 25.
During a Thursday review meeting on the intermediate exams, TG BIE Secretary S Krishna Aditya instructed officials to ensure that a wall clock is installed in every hall of each examination centre. He stressed that students must be able to track time easily during the exam.
“All students should be provided a dual desk to write the exam inside the hall. They should not be made to sit on the floor,” he said. Therefore, officials must arrange dual desks in all centres before the intermediate exams begin.
Meanwhile, the TGBIE also directed officials to improve basic facilities at exam centres. Aditya instructed them to ensure that halls are equipped with fans and have proper ventilation. He also asked them to provide functional toilets and drinking water facilities. These steps aim to create a suitable environment for students appearing for the intermediate exams.
Further, the Board passed instructions to keep centres under CCTV surveillance. It also directed authorities to deploy experienced staff for examination duties. According to the directions issued in the review meeting, officials must verify examination staff details carefully to prevent mistakes.
“Accurate verification of examination staff details should be conducted to avoid errors. District-wise and centre-wise inspection of question paper security arrangements and staff details must be carried out,” Aditya told the officers.
As the intermediate exams approach on February 25, TGBIE has emphasized strict monitoring and proper arrangements. Therefore, officials across districts must complete preparations in line with the Board’s orders. The focus remains on ensuring smooth conduct of the intermediate exams with adequate facilities and security measures in place.
