Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the AI Impact Summit reflects India rapid development in science and technology. He expressed happiness over the organisation of the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. He also invited countries across the world to take part in the summit.
AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam draws 45 nations
The Prime Minister said the AI Impact Summit will showcase the talent and potential of Indian youth. He added that India is stepping forward to increase its contribution to global development. Moreover, he described the event as proof of India rapid growth in science and technology.
He said it is a matter of pride that the first major international AI summit in the Global South is being held in India. The summit is taking place at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. Representatives from more than 45 countries are attending the event, which will continue till the 20th.
Sarvajana Hitaya theme guides AI Impact Summit goals
Speaking on the theme Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya, which means Welfare for all, Happiness for all, the Prime Minister said it reflects a shared commitment. He stated that the focus is on using artificial intelligence for the progress of countries across the world. Therefore, the summit aims to promote responsible and inclusive AI growth.
He further said that the AI Impact Summit will strengthen India role in development initiatives. These include creating digital facilities, building strong startups, and conducting cutting edge research. Meanwhile, he noted that AI is already playing a key role in healthcare, education, agriculture, and governance.
The Prime Minister also said that each participating country will define its own AI agenda during the summit. He added that the aim is to showcase Indian talent, expand digital public infrastructure, and present the growing startup ecosystem to the global community.
