Asaduddin Owaisi Questions Modi Govt Over Alleged US Strike on Iranian Ship Near Indian Waters
Hyderabad, Mar 6 (Maxim News): Asaduddin Owaisi has questioned the Central Government over its silence regarding the alleged US Navy strike on an Iranian ship near Indian waters.
In a post on ‘x’ media, Owaisi raised several concerns about the incident.
Owaisi said the government must explain what happened so close to Indian waters. According to him, many important questions remain unanswered.
Asad Owaisi also asked whether the Indian government was informed in advance by the administration of former US President Donald Trump before the operation was carried out.
Owaisi pointed out that India is a strategic partner of the United States and also part of the Quad grouping.
Furthermore, Owaisi warned that silence on the issue could damage India’s reputation as a strategically independent country. He said such actions may make India appear weak in global forums.
The Hyderabad MP also raised concerns about future security risks. He asked whether the government would remain silent if the Chinese navy began operating in the same waters using a similar precedent.
Owaisi criticised the lack of response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. He said the government must clarify the situation and address the concerns of the people.
According to Owaisi, the country deserves transparency on matters related to national security and international conflicts that occur close to Indian territory. (Maxim News)
