Telangana MLA disqualification: Adi Srinivas slams KTR
Telangana MLA disqualification | Hyderabad, Mar 11 (Maxim News) Government Whip Adi Srinivas criticised KTR over remarks on Telangana MLA disqualification petitions.
Adi Srinivas reacted after the Speaker rejected petitions against Danam Nagender and Kadiyam Srihari.
Adi Srinivas said KTR made unfair comments on the Speaker’s verdict. He also said KTR used strong words without reason.
Adi Srinivas said KTR spoke about democracy and public mandate. However, he said KTR had no moral right to speak on such issues.
He also accused the previous BRS government of weakening democratic values. Therefore, he said KTR should review his own record first.
He said the BRS rule saw many defections. He also claimed opposition voices faced pressure then. Moreover, he said many leaders changed parties during that time. So he questioned KTR’s criticism now.
Adi Srinivas said KTR words do not match past actions. He said the BRS government gave posts to defected leaders. He asked if KTR had forgotten those events.

Also, he said several MLAs joined BRS during its rule. Therefore, he said present criticism lacks value.
He said as many as 39 MLAs changed sides during the past government. He also said the list included MPs and MLCs. In addition, he claimed even local leaders changed parties then. So he said the record speaks clearly.
Adi Srinivas said Telangana people understand political facts. He said public opinion will decide such issues. Meanwhile, he said political drama will not change facts.
Therefore, he said people will ignore what he called noise politics.
He also said democracy needs honest debate. However, he said false claims harm public trust. So he asked leaders to speak with facts. He added that the government will follow legal process.
The Speaker’s decision has triggered sharp reactions. Leaders from different parties have shared views. Meanwhile, political debate continues in the state. For now, the issue remains a major talking point. (Maxim News)
