Revanth Reddy Farmer King Goal At Ugadi Event

Hyderabad, March 19: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the goal of his government is to make the farmer a king. He made this statement while attending Ugadi celebrations held at Rabindra Bharathi. The event was organized by the Telangana Language and Culture Department and the Endowment Department.

He said the new year would be the year of the farmer. He stressed that making agriculture profitable remains a key aim of the government. Therefore, he said farmers are being given a bonus along with a remunerative price for their crops. He added that such steps would improve farmer income and stability.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy said it is a matter of pride that Telangana has the lowest debt burden among farmers in the country. He stated that nearly 70 percent of families in the state depend on agriculture. Because of this, the government waived farm loans up to Rs. 2 lakh. He said this move helped make farmers debt free.

Focus on farmer welfare schemes and land reforms

The Chief Minister said the government spent Rs. 18 thousand crores on farmer insurance. He also said that farmer insurance funds would be released again on the 22nd of this month. He noted that these steps aim to support farmers during difficult times. Also, he said the government is addressing land issues by removing the Dharani system and introducing Bhu Bharati.

He further said the state is moving forward with the goal of becoming a leader in the country. He emphasized that agriculture remains central to this vision. At the same time, he said the government is alert to natural disasters. He expressed hope that people would live with peace and happiness without facing such challenges.

Later, several leaders and officials attended the event. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, Konda Surekha, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy were present. PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, MP Vem Narender Reddy, MLAs, MLCs, Corporation Chairmen, and officials also took part in the celebrations.
