Gas Shortage Protest: BRS stages stir at Gun Park

Gas Shortage Protest | Hyderabad, March 24: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders staged a protest over the gas shortage in the state here on Tuesday.

Several MLAs and MLCs gathered at Gun Park. BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) later joined the protest.

Party leaders carried playcards showing gas cylinders. They raised slogans against rising LPG prices. They also highlighted supply problems affecting different sectors.

After the protest, the legislators marched towards the Assembly and continued their demonstration.

During the protest, BRS leaders urged both the Central and State governments to clarify the facts about gas supply.

They said authorities claim there is no shortage. However, supply to hotels and small businesses has reportedly stopped.

According to them, this situation has affected common people and small traders.

Leaders also said the disruption has hurt the livelihoods of lakhs of people. Many families depend on hotel businesses for income.

Because of this, BRS asked the State government to respond to the gas supply crisis in Telangana. They also urged officials to explain the real situation to the public. In addition, they requested authorities to use all available options to improve supply.

Speaking during the protest, KTR said people are facing problems due to LPG shortage after the war began.

KTR also said the Central government is trying to convince people that there is no shortage. At the same time, he claimed the shortage remains severe at the ground level.

KTR also said the Petroleum department works under the Central government. According to him, the State government says it cannot do much in this matter. He also expressed doubts that authorities may reduce the cylinder size in the future from 14 kg to 10 kg.

KTR further said both the Central and State governments are troubling common people. He compared the situation to a fight where ordinary people suffer the most. He said the gas shortage has become a major topic due to the war. He also alleged the Centre says there is no shortage while the State says there is no supply, which confuses the public.

KTR demanded that the Central government take steps to ensure proper gas supply. He also asked the government to make a clear announcement to prevent further problems for the public.
