Jeevan Reddy | Hyderabad, March 24: The Congress high command has again started efforts to pacify senior leader and former minister Jeevan Reddy, who has been indirectly indicating a possible party change.
In this context, an important political development took place in the undivided Karimnagar district.
TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, AICC Secretary Sachin Sawant, and Government Whip Adi Srinivas held a special meeting with Jeevan Reddy.
Jeevan Reddy : Congress leaders discuss concerns and seniority matters
During the meeting, they discussed the issues he has been facing in the party. They also spoke at length about the reasons behind his reported dissatisfaction.
Sources indicate that Jeevan Reddy placed his objections and demands before TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud.
Reddy reportedly sought clarity on development works in his constituency. He also raised the issue of the respect he expects as a senior leader in the district.
After listening to his concerns, Mahesh Kumar Goud assured him that he would convey all the issues to the Congress leadership in Delhi.
He also said the party needs experienced leaders like Jeevan Reddy. He further assured that the party would address his concerns soon.
Meanwhile, this meeting has triggered political interest in the state. It remains to be seen whether Jeevan Reddy will change his decision after the talks.
