Police said some victims earlier approached the HR department. However, their complaints were allegedly ignored. In one instance, a complainant was reportedly discouraged from filing a case.
Authorities also confirmed that both female and male employees reported harassment and pressure related to religious conversion. This prompted the formation of a Special Investigation Team.
N Chandrasekaran termed the incident a matter of serious concern. The company appointed Aarti Subramanian to oversee an internal probe.
Meanwhile, police are examining possible links to external funding or organised networks. Agencies such as SID, ATS, and National Investigation Agency have been approached for support.
TCS has temporarily suspended BPO operations at its Nashik campus. Employees have been asked to work from home until further notice.
Officials said more victims are now coming forward. A court remanded the arrested woman operations manager to judicial custody until April 28.
