Hyderabad, April 30: Tension prevailed in Rajendranagar after a mosque desecration incident was reported late on Wednesday night in Kismatpur.
Police said unknown persons allegedly entered a mosque and damaged religious items.

According to All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig, the incident occurred at Masjid e Bilal around 11:30 pm.
He alleged that miscreants trespassed into the mosque and damaged copies of the Quran and other religious books.
The incident triggered tension in the locality, prompting immediate police action.
Police teams rushed to the spot and deployed additional forces to prevent any escalation.
The mosque committee lodged a formal complaint, seeking strict action against those involved.
Officials said patrolling has been intensified across Rajendranagar as a precaution.
Senior police officers have formed special teams to identify and apprehend the suspects.
Authorities said investigations are underway to trace the accused and maintain law and order in the area.
