Hyderabad, May 6: Seethakka slams KTR remarks and demanded an apology after the BRS leader criticized Congress figures Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
The Tribal Welfare Minister termed KTR’s statements as arrogant. Moreover, she said such remarks reflect disregard for political decorum. Therefore, she urged him to withdraw the comments immediately.
Seethakka also accused the previous BRS government of neglecting farmers. She said loan waivers were delayed and implemented in phases. In addition, she claimed that families of farmers who died by suicide did not receive proper support.
Seethakka slams KTR remarks on farmers issues
She stated that the current Congress government has taken corrective steps. For instance, she said the government released Rs 9000 crore within nine days. Furthermore, she added that crop bonuses are now being provided as promised.
Seethakka criticized what she called “farmhouse rule” during the previous regime. She said leaders stayed away from people, while the current government works on the ground. Meanwhile, she emphasized that the administration focuses on welfare delivery.
The minister also accused KTR of making misleading statements about the Sammakka Saralamma temple. In addition, she said he had no basis to speak about alleged commissions.
She warned that leaders must avoid statements that mislead the public. Otherwise, she said, people would respond politically. Overall, the remarks signal rising tensions between the Congress and BRS in Telangana.
