Hyderabad, May 17: Senior BRS leader and former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Telangana, alleging that it was “looting people and hiding its failures” instead of serving public interests.
Addressing a meeting of BRS activists from the LB Nagar constituency on Saturday, Talasani accused the Congress government of failing to fulfil people’s expectations after coming to power.
He alleged that the ruling party was functioning as a “plundering government” and claimed public dissatisfaction was increasing across the State.
Talasani Targets HYDRA Demolitions
Talasani strongly criticised the HYDRA demolition drives and alleged that thousands of houses belonging to poor families had been demolished.
He said affected families and victims were openly cursing the Chief Minister and the Congress government over the demolitions.
Despite public anger, the government was showing no concern or remorse, he alleged.
The former minister also accused the Chief Minister of frequently using offensive language in political speeches.
Talasani said political leaders earn public respect only through their work and conduct among people.
Praising former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said KCR would remain in history for achieving Telangana statehood.
He stated that Telangana witnessed significant development during the ten-year rule of the BRS government under KCR’s leadership.
According to Talasani, the Congress government has failed to implement meaningful welfare or development programmes in the last two-and-a-half years.
He urged BRS party workers to take the alleged failures of the Congress government to the people and strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
The meeting witnessed participation from local BRS leaders and party cadre from the LB Nagar constituency.
