Hyderabad, June 5: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completing the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and said the project would help meet irrigation and drinking water needs in the Palamuru region.
The Chief Minister continued his second day of inspections in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, focusing on the progress of key irrigation infrastructure.
Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme Review Continues
Revanth Reddy visited Kummera in Nagarkurnool district and inspected the pump house of the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.
He also reviewed the construction progress of Narlapur Package 2 and Package 3 canals under the project in the Kollapur Assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Minister Vakati Srihari during the field inspection.
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the status of the ongoing canal works and project execution. Revanth Reddy reviewed the construction activities and discussed measures to expedite completion.
He said the government was determined to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe and ensure water availability for agriculture and drinking purposes in the region.
The Chief Minister directed officials to maintain quality standards in all works and complete the remaining construction without delays.
The Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme is one of Telangana’s major irrigation projects aimed at providing water to drought-prone areas of southern Telangana.
