Officials found that Ramu Nayak allegedly registered a 33.53 square yard plot belonging to the Telangana Housing Board. The land is located between Gates 5 and 6 near the High Court area in Hyderabad. The transaction reportedly took place on February 17, 2018.

Revenue officials said the land value in the area is extremely high, estimated at over ₹2 lakh per square yard in the open market. The case has raised serious concerns about misuse of authority and manipulation of government records.

A detailed inspection of Housing Board and Indiramma Housing sites triggered the investigation. During the probe, multiple irregularities linked to land allocations and registrations came to light. Officials suspect a wider network behind the scam.

Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy reacted strongly to the findings. He warned that strict action will be taken against all officials involved in land scams. He said criminal cases will be registered against those who misused government assets.
