In addition to the IAF officers, Wings were awarded to nine officers of the Indian Navy, three officers of the Indian Coast Guard, and two officers from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Brevets were also awarded to three officers after completing navigation training.
Addressing the graduating officers, Rajnath Singh described the Indian Air Force as both the shield and sword of the nation. He recalled the force’s crucial role during the 1947–48 Kashmir operations and the 1971 war. He also praised the IAF’s performance during Operation Sindoor in 2025, stating that the force demonstrated precision, courage, and professionalism in destroying terrorist infrastructure.
“The operation succeeded not only because of indigenous platforms but also because of the courage, discipline, and training of IAF personnel,” he said.
Rajnath Singh Highlights Challenges of Future Warfare
He noted that modern warfare increasingly relies on drones, satellites, sensors, robotics, artificial intelligence, and cyber capabilities. He warned that future conflicts may involve invisible adversaries and sophisticated digital attacks targeting critical infrastructure.
“Today’s warfare extends beyond conventional battlefields. You must continuously learn, adapt, and innovate to stay ahead of emerging threats,” he said.

The Defence Minister reminded the officers that the wings they wear symbolize the trust and confidence of every Indian citizen. He urged them to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity throughout their careers.
Women Officers Strengthen Inclusive Force
RajnathSingh extended special congratulations to the women officers and said their growing presence reflects the strength of an inclusive armed force.
“The increasing participation of Nari Shakti will make the Indian Air Force stronger, more balanced, and more capable,” he said.
He also congratulated the Vietnamese officers and expressed confidence that their training in India would further strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
The DefenceMinister commended the IAF’s role in numerous humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and rescue missions conducted both in India and abroad. He said these operations reflect India’s commitment to helping humanity beyond borders.
Concluding his address, RajnathSingh linked the IAF’s future role to the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
“It is often said that the sky is the limit. For the Indian Air Force, the sky is our home. This vision will help build a developed India by 2047,” he said.
Spectacular Air Displays Mark Graduation Ceremony
The parade featured a ceremonial flypast led by Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh. The aerial display showcased Pilatus PC-7 Mk II, Hawk, Kiran, and Chetak trainer aircraft.
The event also featured performances by the Akash Ganga skydiving team and the Shakti Women Air Warrior Drill Team. The grand finale included aerobatic displays by the Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft, the Sarang helicopter display team, and the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team.
AirOfficer Commanding in Chief, Training Command, Air Marshal S. Shrinivas, Air Force Academy Commandant Air Marshal Rahul Bhasin, and other senior IAF officials attended the ceremony.
Top Cadets Receive Prestigious Awards
In recognition of outstanding performance, Rajnath Singh presented several prestigious awards.
Flying Officer Ashish Kumar Yadav received the President’s Plaque and the Nawanagar Sword of Honour for securing first place in the overall order of merit in the Pilot Course.
Flying Officer Ekta Gupta received the President’s Plaque for standing first in the overall order of merit in the Navigation stream.
Flying Officer Divyanshi Singh received the President’s Plaque for securing first position in the Ground Duty branches.
The ceremony concluded with the newly commissioned officers marching out before proud family members and taking an oath to safeguard the sovereignty, integrity, and honour of the nation, marking the beginning of their service careers in the Indian Air Force.
