New Delhi, June 19: Vice President C P Radhakrishnan will undertake his first official visit to the Union Territory of Ladakh from June 19 to 21, 2026. The visit will focus on border area development, community interaction and participation in International Day of Yoga celebrations.
During the three day visit, the Vice President will travel to Lukung, a Vibrant Village in Ladakh, on June 20. He will interact with local Self Help Groups and review development initiatives being implemented under the Vibrant Villages Programme.
The Vice President will also visit the War Memorial and pay tribute to soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.
On June 21, CP Radhakrishnan will participate in the International Day of Yoga celebrations in Leh. The event will bring together youth, armed forces personnel and members of various organisations.
The programme aims to promote awareness about yoga and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Officials said the event will highlight the importance of physical and mental well being through regular yoga practice.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity to review developmental activities in border regions and engage directly with local communities in Ladakh.
