According to officials, the encroached government land spreads across more than 10 acres in Survey No. 1 at Chatragadda, Hasmathpet.

Authorities alleged that portions of the land were being occupied and sold as notary plots.
HYDRA teams, along with local police personnel, used earthmoving equipment to remove the structures.
Officials said security arrangements were made to prevent any untoward incidents during the operation.
After completing the clearance work, authorities plan to fence the land and take formal possession.
HYDRA also warned that strict action would continue against encroachments on government land and water bodies across the city.
