Fire Breaks Out In DBS Bank ATM At Kukatpally

Hyderabad, June 29: A fire broke out at a DBS Bank ATM kiosk in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally late on Sunday night, reportedly due to a short circuit. The incident caused panic among residents, but no injuries were reported.

The fire occurred at the DBS Bank ATM near Vaddepalli Enclave in Kukatpally. Eyewitnesses said thick smoke and flames suddenly emerged from inside the ATM kiosk, prompting nearby residents and shopkeepers to rush to the spot.

People in the area immediately tried to contain the fire before it spread to nearby establishments. They also alerted the Fire Department, which reached the location within a short time and brought the blaze under control.

Short circuit suspected behind ATM fire

Fire officials who inspected the site suspect that a short circuit in the ATM’s electrical system triggered the fire. However, they will confirm the exact cause after completing a detailed investigation.

The prompt response by local residents and firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to adjoining shops and buildings. As a result, the incident did not cause any casualties.

The ATM kiosk sustained damage in the fire. Officials are now assessing the extent of the losses and examining the condition of the ATM equipment.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire and estimate the financial damage.
