Hyderabad, June 30, 2026: A sudden explosion inside a residential house created panic in Hyderabad’s Saroornagar area on Tuesday. Although the blast caused extensive damage to the property, no injuries were reported and family members escaped safely.
The incident occurred at a house located on Road No. 4 under the limits of Saroornagar Police Station.
Explosion Causes Heavy Damage
According to preliminary information, a loud explosion was heard from the kitchen area of the house, resulting in severe damage to walls, doors and windows.
Despite the intensity of the blast, authorities found no immediate signs of fire at the location.
Officials also noted that household appliances and gas cylinders present in the house, including three LPG cylinders, a refrigerator and a geyser, did not appear to have exploded.
The house belongs to Devender, a retired bank employee, who has reportedly been residing there with his wife and son for nearly 24 years.
Family members were inside the house at the time of the incident but escaped without injuries.
After receiving information, police personnel from Saroornagar Police Station and emergency response teams reached the location and inspected the damaged house.
Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
Officials said further details would emerge after technical examination of the site and collection of evidence.
