Warangal, July 9: One person was killed and 15 others were injured after a mini truck met with an accident near Muttojipet under Narsampet Municipality in Warangal district on Thursday.
According to police, the mini truck was travelling from Suryapet to Medaram when one of its tyres allegedly burst. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the national highway and crashed into a thicket.
The impact killed one person on the spot, while 15 others sustained injuries.
Police personnel and local residents immediately launched rescue operations after receiving information about the accident. Ambulances shifted the injured to the Narsampet Government Hospital for treatment.
Police suspect that the accident occurred due to a tyre burst. The identity of the deceased and the condition of the injured are yet to be confirmed.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
