The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory. They have urged commuters to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes. As a result, motorists can avoid delays and traffic congestion.
The first procession, organised by ISKCON Hyderabad, will begin at 11 am from NTR Stadium, Indira Park.
It will conclude at the Exhibition Grounds around 5 pm. Meanwhile, another Sri Jagannath Swamy Ratha Yatra will begin at 12 noon from Jagannath Temple, Road No. 12, Banjara Hills. That procession will continue until 8 pm.
Hyderabad Traffic Diversions for Sri Jagannath Ratha Yatra: Routes and Alternative Roads
The ISKCON procession will start from Dharna Chowk. It will then pass through Ashok Nagar Crossroads, RTC Crossroads, Narayanaguda Crossroads, Himayathnagar Y Junction, Liberty Crossroads, Basheerbagh Crossroads, BJR Circle, SBI Gun Foundry, Chermas, Taj Mahal Junction, Bata T Junction, GPO Circle, Yusuf and Company, MJ Market Crossroads, and Malakunta before reaching the Exhibition Grounds.
Therefore, police expect heavy traffic along the entire route. Officers will regulate traffic wherever necessary. They will also stop or divert vehicles for short periods to allow the procession to pass safely.
Meanwhile, the Banjara Hills procession will affect traffic on Road No. 12 and nearby roads. Therefore, motorists travelling towards Film Nagar, Shaikpet, Jubilee Hills, Road No. 45, Madhapur, and HITEC City should follow the notified diversion routes.
Drivers travelling from Masab Tank, Lakdikapul, and Khairatabad towards Road No. 12 should use Road No. 1, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar, NTR Bhavan, and Jubilee Hills Check Post. Alternatively, they can travel through Road No. 12, ACB Office By lane, MLA Colony, Omega Hospital, and Apollo Junction.
Similarly, motorists travelling from Shaikpet, Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills, and Tolichowki should proceed through Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar, and Road No. 1.
Likewise, commuters travelling from Madhapur, HITEC City, Road No. 45, and Road No. 36 should also use Jubilee Hills Check Post, NTR Bhavan, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar, and Road No. 1.
Furthermore, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have requested commuters to cooperate with traffic personnel throughout the day. They have also advised motorists to leave early if they plan to travel through the affected areas.
