Hyderabad, July 20: A 60 year old retired teacher died after a speeding auto rickshaw hit him while he was crossing the road at Hydernagar under the Kukatpally police station limits on Monday.
The victim, identified as Narasimha, suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. Police reached the accident site, shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination, and registered a case.
Hyderabad Road Accident Captured on CCTV
According to the police, the entire accident was captured on a CCTV camera installed near the spot. Investigators are examining the footage as part of the probe.
Police said Narasimha had retired as a teacher from Shishumandir School in Zaheerabad. He was residing in Hyderabad and was constructing a house in Zaheerabad.
On Monday, he was crossing the road to travel to Zaheerabad when the speeding auto allegedly hit him. His family members have been informed about the incident.
Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal accident.
