Hyderabad: The Department of School Education on Tuesday released the notification for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TGTET In Service Teachers 2026) for teachers working in government and local body schools across the State.
Director of School Education and TGTET Chairperson E. Nicholas announced that the examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from September 7 to 11, 2026. The special TGTET is being held exclusively for eligible in service teachers.
Applications Open Until July 29
Secondary Grade Teachers, School Assistants, and Language Pandits working in government and local body schools are eligible to appear for the examination.
Eligible candidates can apply online for Paper I, Paper II, or both on or before July 29.
The application fee is:
- Paper I or Paper II: ₹750 per paper
- Both Papers: ₹1,000
- SC, ST and PwD candidates: ₹700 per paper and ₹950 for both papers
Candidates can access the detailed notification and submit applications through the official School Education Department website.
The Telangana government has decided to conduct two special TGTET examinations every year exclusively for in service teachers in addition to the regular TET examinations.
