Hyderabad Man Arrested for Selling Banned Oxytocin Injections

Hyderabad, July 22: The Uppal Special Operations Team (SOT) arrested a 56 year old man for allegedly selling banned oxytocin injections used to artificially increase milk production in dairy animals.

The accused was identified as M Rangaiah Yadav, who was apprehended during a raid conducted at Maktha village under the Pocharam IT Corridor Police Station limits.

Acting on a tip off, the Uppal SOT conducted the operation and seized five vials of banned oxytocin injections from the accused.

According to police, Rangaiah Yadav operates a water plant business and was allegedly involved in the illegal sale of the prohibited drug.

The seized injections were handed over to the Pocharam IT Corridor police for further investigation.

Police are continuing the probe to determine the source of the banned injections and whether others were involved in the illegal supply network.
