GMR Hyderabad International Airport Wins the Prestigious ‘Golden Peacock Business Excellence Award 2017’

GHIAL receives the award for its focus on Comparison & Bench marking in large scale industry-Transportation-Aviation category

Hyderabad, 25th April (Maxim News): GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL), which operates Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad has announced that it has won the coveted Golden Peacock Business Excellence Award (GPBEA) 2017 in the large scale industry-Transportation-Aviation category. Mr. Ganapati Bhat,Business Excellence, GHIAL received the trophy on behalf of the organization from His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Govt. of UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman & Chief Executive, The Emirates Airline & Group and Chairman, Dubai World,at Institute Of Directors (IOD), India’s Dubai Global Convention 2017 and Golden Peacock Awards Presentation Ceremony held in Dubai (UAE).

Golden Peacock Business Excellence Award seeks to characterize validated best management practices, as a basis for accelerating the rate of organizational improvement. The process of evaluating the nominations to select the winner for the award included – submission of application, panel evaluation by the experts and jury finalization for the Award, under the championship of Justice (Dr.) ArijitPasayat, former Judge Supreme Court of India.This year, the Secretariat received around 400 responses, for the above annual Golden Peacock Awards. Out of which, after careful scrutiny, 241 applications were shortlisted for final selection through a three-tier Assessment Process. The Quality of Shortlisted Entries evidenced competitors’ commitment and high level of quality to achieve world-class status.
