Hyderabad: More than a dozen passengers were injured after a private luxury bus collided with a truck on National Highway 44 in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district on Sunday.
The accident occurred in the early hours near Pogururu bridge. The bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru when it reportedly collided with an oncoming truck.
Both vehicles reportedly went off the bridge following the impact. Around 40 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident.

Rescue teams rush injured passengers to hospitals
Passersby and police personnel who reached the accident site helped rescue passengers trapped inside the damaged bus.
The injured were subsequently shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Some passengers were reportedly in critical condition.
Police and emergency teams are assessing the circumstances that led to the collision. Further details about the number of seriously injured passengers and the condition of those admitted to hospitals are awaited.
The incident caused concern among commuters travelling on the busy Hyderabad-Bengaluru route. Authorities are expected to gather more information as the investigation progresses.
