Hyderabad, August 12: A 37 year old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband at their home in Ghatkesar on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Madhavi. She had been married to Katravath Raju for around 18 years.
The couple had lived in Ghatkesar for nearly 15 years. They have three children.
Police suspect alcohol addiction and suspicion over Madhavi’s conduct as possible reasons for the alleged murder.
Police Probe Ghatkesar Woman’s Death
According to police, Raju had been addicted to alcohol for around three years.
Police said he frequently quarrelled with Madhavi and allegedly harassed her over suspicion about her conduct.
The situation reportedly worsened on Tuesday night.
Police said Madhavi was sleeping when Raju allegedly attacked her with a cement brick early Wednesday morning.
She suffered severe injuries to her chest and died at the scene.
Ghatkesar police reached the residence after receiving information and began an investigation.
Police registered a case against Raju and are investigating the circumstances and alleged motive behind the killing.
