Mumbai, August 20: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has a busy lineup of major projects, with the actor currently working on the much-awaited Ramayana franchise.
The film is being planned as a two-part epic, with Ranbir playing the lead role. According to recent reports, the actor is expected to move on to Brahmastra 2 after completing work on Ramayana 2.
Brahmastra 2 Expected to Begin in April 2027
Director Ayan Mukerji is reportedly working on the script and pre-production preparations for Brahmastra 2.
The sequel is expected to go on floors in April 2027, according to reports. Ranbir is set to reprise his role in the franchise, with reports suggesting that he could portray both Shiva and Dev in the upcoming film.
The dual-role development has generated considerable interest among fans, particularly because Dev’s character was introduced as a major part of the franchise’s larger mythology.
Alia Bhatt Expected to Return
Alia Bhatt is also expected to return as Isha, continuing the character’s connection with Shiva.
Meanwhile, there is speculation that the makers are in discussions with Deepika Padukone for the role of Amruta. However, her casting has not been officially confirmed.
The sequel is expected to expand the supernatural world established in the first Brahmastra film and explore new characters and conflicts.
