Hyderabad, August 29: NMDC Hyderabad Marathon takes place on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Commuters across Hyderabad and Cyberabad should expect traffic diversions from 4 am to 11:30 am.
Traffic Police have issued an advisory asking people to plan their journeys in advance. Furthermore, alternative routes are available for those travelling through affected areas.
According to the advisory, the marathon features three race categories. The full marathon covers 42.195 km.
The half marathon covers 21.097 km. Additionally, a 10K run is also part of the event. Races are scheduled between 5 am and 11:30 am on Sunday.
Moreover, the full marathon and half marathon start from People’s Plaza on Necklace Road. The 10K run starts from Hitex Exhibition Hall in Khanamet, Madhapur.
All three routes converge at GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli. Consequently, Gachibowli serves as the finish point for all race categories.

Furthermore, commuters travelling through Necklace Road, Madhapur, Gachibowli, and nearby areas will face traffic restrictions.
Diversions stay in place from 4 am until 11:30 am. As a result, people with early morning travel plans must check routes before leaving home.
Additionally, Traffic Police advised commuters to use alternative roads wherever possible. They also asked people to allow extra travel time.
