KTR Aides | Hyderabad, Sept. 14: Saifabad Police have issued fresh notices to BRS working president KTR’s personal secretary Mahender Reddy and PRO Mahesh.
The notices relate to a case linked to an MLA protest near Assembly Gate Number 3 on September 7. Police have directed both individuals to appear before the investigating officer at Saifabad Police Station at 10 am.
The notices were issued in the name of SI Satyanarayana. Police issued them as part of the ongoing investigation into the Assembly protest incident.
The case was registered on September 9 based on a complaint from B. Jangaiah. He serves as Reserve Inspector at the CAR Headquarters.
Police registered the case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation now includes the role of Mahender Reddy and Mahesh in the events linked to the protest.
The latest notices come after both accused approached the Telangana High Court. They filed petitions seeking the quashing of the case registered against them.
KTR Aides Receive Notices Amid High Court Order
The Telangana High Court heard their quash petitions on September 11. The court issued interim directions protecting the petitioners from coercive steps.
However, the court allowed the concerned investigating officer to continue the investigation. The order therefore did not prevent police from carrying out the investigation process.
Following the court’s directions, Saifabad Police have proceeded with the investigation. The latest notices require Mahender Reddy and Mahesh to appear before the investigating officer.
The police action focuses on collecting information connected to the September 7 Assembly protest. The investigation will determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and the alleged involvement of those named in the case.
The High Court’s interim order remains an important part of the proceedings. Police can continue their investigation while they must comply with the court’s direction against coercive steps.
Assembly Protest Case Moves Ahead
The case stems from an agitation by MLAs at Assembly Gate Number 3. Police subsequently received a complaint from CAR Headquarters Reserve Inspector B. Jangaiah.
Based on that complaint, Saifabad Police registered the case on September 9 under provisions of the BNS. The police have since continued efforts to examine the incident.
Mahender Reddy and Mahesh have challenged the case before the High Court. Their petitions seek to have the criminal proceedings against them quashed.
The court has not stopped the investigation through its interim order. Instead, it has permitted the designated investigating officer to continue the probe while directing that no coercive steps be taken against the petitioners.
The fresh notices reflect the continuation of that investigation. Their appearance before the investigating officer will allow police to record their statements and seek information relevant to the case.
Further developments will depend on the investigation and the proceedings before the High Court. At this stage, the allegations against the two individuals remain subject to the ongoing legal process.
