Hyderabad, Sept. 20: South Central Railway (SCR) will operate special trains between Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other destinations for the Dussehra festival rush.
The railway will run 16 special trains between Cherlapally and Srikakulam. It will also operate 10 special trains between Cherlapally and Nagercoil.
The services aim to provide additional travel options for passengers during the festive season.
Special Trains to Connect Telangana and AP
Train number 07037 will run from Cherlapally to Srikakulam on October 6, 13, 20 and 27. It will also run on November 3, 10, 17 and 24.
The return service, train number 07038, will operate from Srikakulam to Cherlapally on October 7, 14, 21 and 28. It will also run on November 4, 11, 18 and 25.
The trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur and Vijayawada. Other stops include Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry and Samalkota.
They will also halt at Duvvada, Simhachalam, Kothavalasa, Vizianagaram and Cheepurupalli.
Meanwhile, 10 special trains will operate between Cherlapally and Nagercoil.
Train number 07535 will run every Friday from September 25 to October 23. The return service, train number 07536, will run every Sunday from September 27 to October 25.
Railway officials advised passengers travelling to their hometowns during Dussehra to use the special services.
The additional trains are expected to help accommodate increased passenger demand during the festive period.
