Sri City Boiler Blast: CM Naidu Orders Support for Victims’ Families

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed shock and grief over the boiler explosion at a private pharmaceutical unit in Sri City, Tirupati district, in which four workers were killed and another was critically injured.

The explosion occurred at the TIL Healthcare manufacturing facility in the Sri City Special Economic Zone on Saturday morning. Two workers died at the site, while two others later succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Another injured worker remains under treatment.

Naidu sought details from senior officials about the accident, rescue operations and the condition of the injured worker. He conveyed his condolences to the families of those who died in the incident.

The Chief Minister directed the district administration to provide all necessary assistance to the bereaved families without delay.

Naidu instructed officials to ensure that the injured worker receives the best possible medical treatment. He also directed health authorities and doctors to provide advanced care if required.

He asked officials to complete rescue and relief operations and verify whether any other workers were trapped inside the facility.

The Chief Minister also ordered a detailed inquiry into the cause of the boiler explosion. He directed officials to take strict action if the investigation finds negligence or violations of industrial safety norms.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the blast. The exact cause of the explosion has not yet been established.

Naidu further stressed the need to review safety measures at factories and industrial units to prevent similar accidents in the future.

The state government has assured support to the families of the deceased and continued medical assistance for the injured.
